Ed is talkin' to me sayin' "send it in" There's no doubt about it those things you just can't win There's a sign in the window on the grocery store put your name in the box here just like you did before... Life would be so grand with $30,000,00 in my hand Life could be so grand with $30,000,000 in my hand I got a letter today with a big time amount the check had numbers on it but it had no account it said I had a name in a box with a star and if I went to see them they would give me a car Life would be so grand with $30,000,00 in my hand Life could be so grand with $30,000,000 in my hand (solo) 2 measures Intro pause I turned my TV on 'cause it was time to play I got my ticket out in hopes that they would say "Congratulations, it's your lucky day we just picked your number!" It never goes that way... Life would be so grand with $30,000,00 in my hand Life could be so grand with $30,000,000 in my hand

I know they don’t like me very well They think I’m crazy They don’t even want to see inside They must be lazy I think I’m normal, but I’m not I must be different They want us all to be the same Remain indifferent It’s all right, it’s all right If you leave me alone It’s all right, it’s all right I’ll just sit by the phone It’s all right, it’s all right You just do what you do I could be a friend --If you only knew me You think that you’re all one big team But I wasn’t chosen You all act as if you’re one Your hearts are frozen I don’t need to be like you I’m all I need to be So I’ll just stay here on my own And watch you snub me

War Stories 05:12
See this picture that hangs upon my wall? It serves a purpose to inform Feel the memory that lingers much too long starts me straying from the norm Mother cries when she remembers the time an expensive price to pay And we all wonder, when they write their articles what do they leave us to say? {Are there any reasons for the changing of the seasons?} I hear the story, time and time again It never fails to be told For some strange reason, I deny it all maybe I'm just too old Why must I be tortured in notoriety? My cover's always blown I can't blame God for taking the children away but must I be alone? {Are there any reasons for the changing of the seasons?} They gave their lives for a cause that's all too great I only wish that it was me No war stories can fill this house again what is was meant to be With a shiny medal and a flag upon his grave Sacrificed for a cause There can be no vengeance, and loss is only beared in the midst of a hero's applause... {Are there any reasons for the changing of the seasons?}

Be 03:59
Idle chatter What does it matter? What is it for I stay sober I grow older What is in store? There are those who would seek To control me To make a dollar more And I try to shun them Always run from Yet try again once more Let me be Let me be Just pull the oars in Shove the boat off And drift out to the sea Let me be Rain clouds gather Wind blows rather Strongly from the north I won’t paddle I won’t babble As the winds push me forth Let me be Let me be Just pull the oars in Shove the boat off And drift out to the sea Let me be I will toe the line I know what’s mine I found it on the ground Mold the clay Fold the way That suits the way I sound

Third Time 04:38
If you only knew the value of what we had together The price was too much to pay Love turned to loneliness and then into substitution Words just got in the way They tell me I do words really good Make 'em rhyme, make 'em chime So, why can't I tell you the truth? {All my friends shake their heads and walk away disgusted Knowing all too well I'm just gonna get my head busted For the third time...} I hear there's this thing called freedom of choice It causes indecision And the cure to this is a forced decision opening this mental incision Why can't I leave well enough alone? Feeling at ease, life's a breeze But nothing's ever that easy {All my friends shake their heads and walk away disgusted Knowing all too well I'm just gonna get my head busted For the third time...} Call me a wimp 'cause I just sit here and stare at a photograph of a brighter time And even when I'm really calm the storm keeps on a-raging' on the end of a telephone line Look at me and call me stupid 'cause I'm goin' down, I'm gonna drown Shark, you've got my body tonight {All my friends shake their heads and walk away disgusted Knowing all too well I'm just gonna get my head busted For the third time...}

Cast off on my own Never to see your face Left here all alone Vanished without a trace I’m so all alone Only left a phone Left out on my own Oh yeah…anyway, Whenever I go away I’m never far away from you Never far away from you Across a great divide You’re so far out of reach Standing at low tide Held back by a beach I can still go home Get me to a phone Mentally, I roam Oh yeah…anyway, Whenever I go away I’m never far away from you Never far away from you Ireach into my heart In order to escape A pathway leads back home Even if its fake ‘Cause I’m so all alone A king without a throne My lifeline’s just a phone Whenever I go away I’m never far away from you Never far away from you

Spending my life, just trying to make a living I want to take something, but I’m always giving Round and round, there’s no end to this circus The meaning of my life has slowly lost purpose What will I do If I find I’m too old to ever break through? What Will I do If I’m through? Won’t someone out there stop and take a listen? Is there some secret that I may be missing? Selling my soul along with enjoyment I’m one step closer to unemployment! What will I do If I find I’m too old to ever break through? What Will I do If I’m through? Gonna paste my link wherever I’m allowed I wanna play my song until they say it’s too loud I need someone to tell me how I’m doing And not just the insults some people keep spewing! What will I do If I find I’m too old to ever break through? What Will I do If I’m through?

I get up every day to the same old beat; I get up go to work with the same old heat. Just once, I'd love to break with this old routine I'd go to the mountains or out to the desert Circles, Circles, Living life in a circle Circles, Circles, Running around in circles I wonder what its like on an open road Wandering free, about like a TV hero We could set our own rules as we take control Whatever we please This is what free means Circles, Circles, Living life in a circle Circles, Circles, Running around in circles I guess that reality is the only way Someday we'll have our dreams, but no today so we'll go on living in the ame old way like programmed robots the haves and the have-nots Circles, Circles, Living life in a circle Circles, Circles, Running around in circles
10.
You say one thing You mean another You argue one point Then back the other When I helpless And covered under I get no help from Your constant blunder Merry go round Merry go round Always spinning round and round Merry go round Merry go round I’m tired of your ups and downs There’s always discourse We’re always waiting Just make a move Quit hesitating This indecision Is breaking me down Why can’t you stop this Jerking people around Merry go round Merry go round Always spinning round and round Merry go round Merry go round I’m tired of your ups and downs
11.
There's a big green cloud and its coverin' up the sun They've dumped acid in the river so the fish are on the run There's a crack in the ground where there used to be a mountain And the geyser in the open has been turned into a fountain Garbage and dirt are all you can see Plutonium and Strontium are dumped into the sea Trees in the forset don't have long to live 'Cause we're ripping up the land, taking more than we can give Why won't you listen to me? Why aren't you listening to me? Why don't you listen to me? Why can't you listen to me? There's a whole row of buildings where the buffalo used to roam We've been rippin' off the red man and pushin' him out of home Made a mess of the prairie and the mighty missisisp If we keep dancin' on the edge like this, you know we're gonna slip Why won't you listen to me? Why aren't you listening to me? Why don't you listen to me? Why can't you listen to me? Whatever happened to the mammals who lived in deep blue space Ivory's still valuable to kill brings no disgrace And the parties on the left say they're doin' what they can But money has the money so they're the ones who make the plan. Why won't you listen to me? Why aren't you listening to me? Why don't you listen to me? Why can't you listen to me?

about

This album is the other half of the "Fish Stories" collection release in 2012. The original design was for a double-album, but it became too costly to produce, so some material had to go by the wayside. These are the tracks that were eliminated from the original lineup.
