Hey, is there anybody there? Hey, can you show me that you care? Climbing out of mediocrity Appealing to my sense of family Hey, do you think you are a star? Hey, does it matter who you are? The more you have following your lead The less chance that they will watch you bleed Let it come down like a wrecking ball Shattering illusions, both big and small Thinking you’re a giant, but you’re not that tall Your social status doesn’t mean a thing at all So, this is what you hoped to find? Yes, silence sure can be unkind Look around ad see just where you are You have to admit, you haven’t gone that far Well, I’ve been waiting for so long Well, can you sing a different song? Now its done, the center is finally found The real you is welcome to stay around Let it come down like a wrecking ball Shattering illusions, both big and small Thinking you’re a giant, but you’re not that tall Your social status doesn’t mean a thing at all

All the Same 02:47
You’ve got your high integrity You’re certain of your posterity Certainly a celebrity A distinguished person of today I see you in your ivory tower Making money by the hour Riches fall in a steady shower Nothing I can really say This is how the game is played Look at me now – I have no name Look at me now – fortune or fame Look at me now – WE’RE ALL THE SAME! Get your dirty feet off of my back I’m not a part of your career track Better listen to this little fact You don’t mean that much to me You used me up and now you’re done with me Sucked me into your little fantasy Spit me out in a pool of misery But you don’t ever get to see The ones you take from frequently

Out There 03:20
Look now, it’s time to go, the time is just a-wasting First steps toward the door and the challenge I am facing Out here on the road is doesn’t feel like I am racing Face forward, movin’ out towards the dream that I am chasing I go our wandering with a suitcase in my hand I have no real direction and it’s never where I planned Got to keep moving although I don’t know where There’s a world full of adventure and it’s waiting for me…out there Take note, looking down on the road that I am walking Forget the place I was and the dream that I was stalking No more left to say on the subject we are talking Heads up, on the move you’ll never find me balking I go our wandering with a suitcase in my hand I have no real direction and it’s never where I planned Got to keep moving although I don’t know where There’s a world full of adventure and it’s waiting for me…out there

Need to get some items, so I’m going to the grocery store Wandering through the aisles, forgetting what I came for Moving towards the checkout with my selections The camera on the ceiling is there for my protection It freaks me out, makes me want to scream and shout Cameras everywhere always have to stare My privacy’s been left in doubt Back into the parking lot, out into the city streets The pace of urban life moving at a steady beat Avoiding other drivers often with a sense of fright Wave to the camera mounted on the traffic light It freaks me out, makes me want to scream and shout Cameras everywhere always have to stare My privacy’s been left in doubt See me and listen to me on the phone Free me, I just want to be alone Talking on the telephone having conversations While they listen in, protecting our great nation Surfing on the Internet, looking for a new groove Homeland Security’s busy watching every move It freaks me out, makes me want to scream and shout Cameras everywhere always have to stare My privacy’s been left in doubt See me and listen to me on the phone Free me, I just want to be alone Headed for the country, running from the city where air is fresh and the scenes are pretty Lay in a hayfield staring at the sky under the view of the satellite’s eye… It freaks me out, makes me want to scream and shout Cameras everywhere always have to stare My privacy’s been left in doubt See me and listen to me on the phone Free me, I just want to be alone

Dark cloud covering up the sun making it so dark I can’t see Waves of confusion crashing over me like a stormy sea Illogical patterns repeating everywhere, I don’t know how this could be Stupidity and ignorance always claim the day with convenient simplicity No one pays attention anymore, just do your best to stay in line We don’t tolerate division or new ways of thinking, it’s better to be blind Keep the boat steady and look the other way, it doesn’t matter what you find Pay no attention to the ones who struggle since it’s cool to be unkind Use your own intelligence None of this is making sense Covered in ambivalence Using black light ambience There’s no way for you to seek the truth, surrounded by the lies Even those you trusted to always keep you straight have all been compromised No longer any lifelines, what you thought was your freedom was carefully supervised Doors that seemed wide open were only an illusion, you shouldn’t be surprised Use your own intelligence None of this is making sense Covered in ambivalence Using black light ambience

Yeah, Right! 05:10
Today I heard that the world is doomed and where we are will be our tomb We must all act now and act real soon or all we have will be in ruins Has everything been said and done? Are we on the path to Armageddon? Yeah, you say the sky is falling Well, I don’t believe that’s true Right, you say the world is stalling I can’t believe the options are so few It’s time we start to look for something new One side will say that it’s all wrong, the other side sings the same old song Round and round and round we seem to go, they believe with all their hearts in what they know Things can seem much different from each side Facts have built a place for the truth to hide Yeah, you say the sky is falling Well, I don’t believe that’s true Right, you say the world is stalling I can’t believe the options are so few It’s time we start to look for something new

We must support our community; we must do everything we can Step up to the challenges to support our fellow man There are those who would accept that part they’ve made for you Your image will depend upon the way you follow through What would you do if I did nothing? Am I a villain in your eyes? What would you do if I said nothing? Maybe a protest in disguise? What if I told you I knew nothing? Must be my lack of acumen It’s not OK to be nothing in a world of supermen I’ll step up to the challenge, but a race I will not run I don’t need to have my picture taken, just appreciate what I’ve done If it makes it all much better, I will participate Not interested in self-promotion, no need to elevate What would you do if I did nothing? Am I a villain in your eyes? What would you do if I said nothing? Maybe a protest in disguise? What if I told you I knew nothing? Must be my lack of acumen It’s not OK to be nothing in a world of supermen

Mold 03:15
The status quo is sexual tension What must I do the get your attention? Driven mad by my invisibility What does it take for you to acknowledge me? I don’t do that for you now You don’t want that from me now We’re not into all that now, now that we’re old…and covered in mold This situation is far from ideal You can’t possibly know what it is that I feel All of your interest seems to have shut down You act like I’ve left you, but I’m still around I don’t do that for you now You don’t want that from me now We’re not into all that now, now that we’re old…and covered in mold

Seeking escape from all that has gone wrong Fighting the urge to be content and go along This may not be the way that I had it planned I’ll drink a little more and then I’ll understand Never fully satisfied where the path has led I would find it better to turn back time instead It seems to me this path leads to a dead end A bitter commend of my time and how its spent Burn it all down, raze it all to the ground Walk away and start all over Turn out the light, replace it with the dark of night I’ll put it off until I’m sober There is something deep inside that remains unfulfilled Some dram from childhood that time has distilled It seems to me I’m in the wilderness alone Nothing that will show the way for me to get back home I thought I know the way and the path was always clear As wisdom accumulates, confidence will disappear I made a wrong turn and somehow got off track Looking all around I can’t see my way back Burn it all down, raze it all to the ground Walk away and start all over Turn out the light, replace it with the dark of night I’ll put it off until I’m sober

People say that we should all should be helping our fellow man, but they spend their time taking all they can They gather together in a group to try and make a stand, Until it turns into a riot, then the wash their hands Is that hard to believe? Everyone is motivated by public tragedy, but when it calls for action, most of them will flee All of us are told we must respect diversity Until someone moves in affecting our property Is that hard to believe? They say they’ll help the poor and homeless out of charity, but every gift they ever gave paid the handsomely Every Sunday we all come to celebrate our lives, while during the working week, we’re getting out the knives Is that hard to believe?
11.
How many times have people told you that it’s easy just to turn around and make yourself over again? No one seems to understand the feeling that you’re getting when you’re trying to play through the pain It’s easier to watch than it is to do All that they are saying turns out to be untrue So, hold your head up high, keep on reaching upward toward the sky, whatever happens to you That ship has sailed out of the bay Looks like we’ve come to the end of the day Once I had pride and time on my side, then suddenly, everything just slipped away That ship is gone, gone today So many choices that you’re facing and the odds of getting higher placing don seem to be going your way Time will always tell you if you made the right decision, if you’re faltering, or if you going astray Too many roads to travel, pathways that are made of gravel, they lead to nowhere, anyway Blindly wander down the road you’re on while you’re looking for an exit sign so you can call it a day That ship has sailed out of the bay Looks like we’ve come to the end of the day Once I had pride and time on my side, then suddenly, everything just slipped away That ship is gone, gone today

Daylight 03:31
Here on the lonely road, wandering off to nowhere Carrying a heavy load, almost more than I can bear There is a light arising almost right in front of me All the awful things around don’t seem so bad now that I can see I can feel Demons starting to take flight They’re not real Only manufactured by fright I can see Dawn is overtaking the night And I am free Standing on my own in the light Sometimes the darkness comes, swallowing my hopes and dreams The walls close around me and no one else can hear my screams When at last the dawn is breaking, I can see what’s all around Building confidence that opportunities still abound I can feel Demons starting to take flight They’re not real Only manufactured by fright I can see Dawn is overtaking the night And I am free Standing on my own in the light

about

A loud, angry album dissatisfied with the way the world and humanity seem to be headed. The songs are somewhat hopeful, offering a counterpoint to the rest of the songs' opinions.
